Trail through the Readout: Home Agent figure audit

Weighing agents, Pandagoo included, by the figures they publish

How to choose a trustworthy shopping agent by counting what it puts in writing, how Pandagoo scores, and four quick tests for any Spreadsheet site before relying on its cards.

The figure audit, portable to other agents

Reviews are slow to gather and easy to inflate. Published figures are neither. Our test for choosing an agent is to list the nine numbers a buyer needs and see how many the agent publishes before you hand over money:

  1. Buying commission, as a figure.
  2. Payment handling per method, both parts.
  3. Shipping lines to your country, with price per weight and the volume coefficient.
  4. Free storage term and what happens after.
  5. Photos per item and the price of extras.
  6. Return windows and who pays postage.
  7. A legal company name.
  8. A support address that answers.
  9. The site loading, today.

An agent that publishes seven or more is easy to hold to its word. One that publishes three wants your money before it has shown its numbers. The test works on any agent, including the ones you already use.

Nine-line figure audit with Pandagoo scored four published, five missing
Our scoring from the archive of 8 March 2026 and our checks on 24 October 2026.

Pandagoo's figure audit, filled in

Scored from the archive, Pandagoo publishes four of the nine: commission, storage, photos and return windows. It is missing the payment inputs, every shipping figure, a company name, a working contact and, since late March, a working site. Four out of nine is a thin result for an agent asking buyers to keep a balance with it.

A fair note: had the site stayed up, the payment inputs and line prices would likely have been visible at checkout. The archive cannot show what a logged-in buyer saw. The last four lines are not about missing screenshots, though.

Other shopping agents under the same audit

Plenty of other agents serve the same buyers, and the number of brands has grown quickly. Rather than rank them, which would need data nobody publishes, we suggest running the nine lines yourself on any two or three alternatives you are considering. The landscape splits roughly into three groups:

  • Long-running agents with years of public line prices, help centres and named companies. Usually they score seven or more.
  • White-label agents built on shared software, often with near-identical help text across brands. Check that the company name and contact are real and not template values, as they were in Pandagoo's archive.
  • Short-lived agents that appear with generous promises and disappear within months. The audit cannot predict which agent will vanish, but a low score and a new domain are both warning signs.

Whichever you pick, keep small balances, pay per order and screenshot every quote.

Testing a Spreadsheet site's product cards for freshness

A Spreadsheet site is a product catalogue: cards for individual goods, grouped by category, each linking to the listing. Knowing how to pick a good Spreadsheet site is mostly a matter of checking its upkeep. Four quick tests:

  1. Open five cards at random. If more than one leads to a removed listing, the catalogue is not being maintained.
  2. Compare the card price with the listing. A good catalogue says when it read the price.
  3. Look for a date and a correction address. Sites that never change have no reason to show either.
  4. Check what it says about the agent. A site that praises an agent whose own site does not load, without saying so, is not checking much.

Run the same tests on this site. Our product cards show the date we read each listing, and the log records every recheck.

Where the Readout earns a bookmark

Why this Spreadsheet rather than another: most pages about Pandagoo repeat "300 days free storage" and "0% commission" and stop. The Readout quotes each figure in full, shows the qualifiers attached to it, lists the figures that are missing, and pairs every claim with something you can check. Our catalogue cards carry the listing numbers we read, with the date. When something changes we say what changed in the log rather than editing silently, and dead links get removed on the next pass.
