Trail through the Readout: Home Vocabulary
Pandagoo archive vocabulary and buyer shorthand
A glossary of the terms on the archived Pandagoo screens, the forum abbreviations buyers use about them, and the parcel status names in the order you meet them.
Words lifted from the Pandagoo screens
These terms appear exactly as written in the archived interface. Several are translations from Chinese that read awkwardly in English; knowing them saves a support ticket.
- Rehearsal package
- A paid trial pack. Staff pack, weigh and measure your goods so you can see the real parcel figures before choosing a line and paying.
- Generate packages
- The ordinary route: choose goods, generate a parcel, pay on the estimated weight, then settle the difference.
- System quotation / Automatic quotation
- Freight paid up front from an estimate, with a refund or top-up after packing.
- Manual quotation
- Freight priced by staff after packing; pay once the real figure is in.
- Seller 》 Warehouse shipping fee
- Domestic postage from the seller to the warehouse, shown on the cart. The odd arrow is in the original.
- Pending to pay difference
- Parcel status meaning the real freight came out higher than you paid; it waits until you top up.
- Manual Purchase
- A purchase form for links the system cannot read automatically, filled in by you and checked by staff.
- Forwarding order / transfer order
- A record telling the warehouse to expect a box you bought elsewhere, matched by courier number.
- Abnormal package
- A box that reached the warehouse with no matching forwarding order. Storage drops to 60 days.
- PI order
- One line of goods in a forwarding order. Each line you add counts as one.
- Original box storage
- An option to keep the retail box with the goods instead of discarding it at the opening check.
- Website letter
- A message inside your account, used for wire results and parcel news, separate from email.
Forum shorthand decoded for Readout users
None of these appear on Pandagoo's screens, but they appear in every conversation about using an agent.

- GL / RL
- Forum verdicts on a set of QC photos. Posters ask whether to ship (GL) or to send back or swap (RL).
- MOQ
- Minimum order quantity. On 1688 it is often the first step of the price ladder: two, three or more pieces before the listed price applies.
- Haul
- Several purchases sent abroad as one parcel; also the forum post that shows them off.
- Line
- A shipping route and carrier combination with its own price per weight, limits and volume coefficient.
- Volumetric weight
- Weight billed from the carton's size rather than the scale.
- Declared value
- The figure entered on the customs form as the parcel's worth. Pandagoo's form took 1 to 120 US dollars.
- Jin
- A Chinese unit of 500 g, used on size charts for body weight.
